What is One Touch Switching?
One Touch Switching has been introduced by Ofcom, the UK’s telecommunications regulator. It aims to simplify the process of swapping between different phone and broadband providers at your current address.
If you want to swap to another broadband provider, you just need to contact your chosen new provider, they’ll do all the rest for you, including ceasing your existing service. It’s quick and straight forward.
Can I join FibreNest, using One Touch Switching?
Absolutely, if you live in a property that FibreNest can serve, you can use the One Touch Switching process to move your existing broadband service to FibreNest. If you live in a property that has been built by Persimmon Homes or Charles Church, there’s a very good chance that you can get FibreNest Full Fibre.

Please note, if you have a dedicated landline telephony service, you won’t be able to swap this to FibreNest through One Touch Switching. We have a partner that can provide a voice service over your broadband, however this must be added after you’ve joined.

One Touch Switching FAQs
No, you can only use the process to swap services at the same address. If you are moving in for the first time, you just need to place an order via our website.
This will depend on whether your property has FibreNest equipment installed today. If everything is already in place, we can get you online within 1 working day. If we need to install fibre or new equipment it may take a few days. We will try to get you live as soon as possible.
Your existing provider will tell you if any fees apply as soon as we submit a switching request to them. This way you can, decide whether to proceed with the switch or not. You also need to check if the FibreNest package you’ve selected has an upfront charge.
This depends on your contract with them. Each provider is different. You’ll find out the amount when we submit your switching request. You don’t need to ask them. We will arrange for your current provider to contact you to confirm any exit charges.
No, by submitting a request you’re just seeing what’s possible. You’re not obliged to move from your current provider until we submit an order to switch. We won’t do this until you’re happy that you want to proceed.
Once we’ve submitted your switching enquiry to your existing provider, you’ll have 30 days to decide whether to go ahead or not. After this time, your enquiry will automatically expire.
You can specify the date you want to switch; we’ll discuss the options with you and make an appointment for our Engineer’s to connect you to FibreNest. You don’t need to contact your current provider to cease your existing service, we’ll do this for you.
Yes, it’s possible to change your switching date, however if you try to do this close to the planned date it might not be possible. Please contact us, if want to change or cancel your switch.
Yes, you can raise multiple switching requests with different providers if you wish. Ultimately you can only have one switching order live at any time, therefore there is no benefit in raising multiple switching enquiries.
Yes, any broadband provider can contact us to start the switching process. If we receive a switching request, we will immediately email you to confirm if any termination charges apply. If your chosen provider sends us a switching order, we will cease your FibreNest service on the date they request.
